I have a properties window pointing at the Form properties of an opened form. When I switch to another (opened) form the properties window will no longer show the Form properties, but switches to a Text properties window.
Why can't the former selection not be kept? I see no reason for this, in case the current selection is available in the other design element.

There does seem to be a lot of dancing around of the properties window, especially when working on Actions and Action Bars, but certainly is annoying! Promoted!

The properties window needs to be a sidebar app and/or dockable.
Say you're editing text in a table on a form. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to have the DB properties, Form properties, Table properties, and Text properties all up at once -- as separate panels.
Appropriate options should be greyed out. If I click on text *outside* the table then the Table properties should grey out but still be up and on my screen where I left them.
