There are many times when I have made a change to one or two design elements in a template and I simply need to refresh the design of a database from the template to get this udpated code. In some circumstances the design refresh for the entire database can take several minutes (always seems like an hour!). There can also be situations when doing testing that I do not want all the design elements to be refreshed, just the ones I am testing.
I would like to have the option at the design element level for a database to just refresh the design of a single (or set of selected) design elements(s).

I was under the impression that the client does this automatically? It scans the modification dates of the various elements to determine which should be updated.
I wonder if it's your network access that's causing things to take so long...?

Well, I see very little use for this function, but a small one; There might be situations where You have changed a lot in a template and need to push out a single change before the nightly refresh design task, but I do feel that this situation is soo rare that I don't think IBM would consider this function a high priority...
