I hide design elements (pages, forms, view...) as a form of version control when making changes.  I'd like dialogs that point to other design elements to not display those that are hidden. Perhaps this can only be enforced if the note is hidden from all clients.

Examples: specifying a frame content in a frameset, inserting a subform on a form.

I'm going to add a demote here as well, but I'll add my reasoning (and I'll probably be speaking for more than just myself) -- hidden forms (and subforms) are what I use for my dialogs. I've noticed it's a sort of convention in Notes programming.

@Stan (and perhaps others)...I hear what you're saying but disagree. There are other ways to 'hide' a design note. I've 'grown up' using parenthesis as a technique for hiding notes from users but still use the note programmatically via (note) or the alias.

If I mark something as hidden from Web browsers (or mobile clients), I can't magically type in a url and have Domino send me the note. The note still exists as a design element and it *should* be the same way for design elements marked as hidden from Notes.

Maybe I'm just not able to fully get my idea across.

Under certain circumstances it would be nice to have a "super hide" in addition to, not as a replacement of the current "semi-hide." Only in rare cases however.

OK, let me recap: Your NOT talking about design element names in parenthesis, but those that are hidden from all (?) clients?
In this case I withdraw my vote and definitely promote this idea.
