I often use @PickList (and its lotusscript cousins) with the [Custom] option.
I would like to present the dialogbox with the current entry (or entries of it's multi-value) already selected, so she/he does not have to start from scratch.
@Prompt has a defaultchoice parameter too.

It would be nice if there is a way to see the selected doc content form the picklist. Some times user would like to see total content in the document before he selects the correct one.

I totally understand the problem you're trying to address. If you use PickList to populate a field with values (rather than a dialog list), you don't get to go back later and add "one more value" because doing so will blow away those initial values.

Getting around this problem is challenging though because the "values" you extract from the selected documents may not provide enough information to tell the Picklist which documents were picked earlier. But if you DID pull out a list of UNIDs and store them in a hidden field, then it should be reasonable to be able to feed that list BACK into subsequent Picklist calls, thus providing you with a way to indicate which documents should show as selected.

So, the new "parameter" of @PickList and ws.PicklistString/Collection could be a multi-value list of UNIDs, or alternately a list of key strings that would match values in the first sorted column of the Picklist view.
