One of the many thoughs around information managament is helping find information one might not even know existed.Current implementation of connectors is having users select which places to add to their list manually. In other words users would have to check every now and then to see if new usefull places has come available.
My idea is to have the connectors keep track of which places a user has access to, and when new places appear that the user has access to prompt user about the new available places so that he can select to add these.
This would be valuable for end users working mostly in one or more of the connectors interfaces and less from the web client.
This is my favourite solution to this. Here is a short summary of an alternate solution if anyone wants to post it instead of this: have the connectors always list places one is explisit member of (not places with public access to limit the number of places automaticly added - these can be added manually as today).
