This is in response to Ben Langhinrichs' request for book proposals.
 
A introductory/primer for pre-8.5 Notes application developers and new Notes/Domino developers.  Covers the following:
  • What is Notes and Domino
  • Domino application architecture
  • Using Domino Designer in Eclispe
  • Creating Domino applications
  • Designing forms and adding fields
  • Designing views
  • Designing XPages
  • Programming options
  • Deploying a Domino application

While I understand that this is meant to be a primer, my one concern is that it bites off more than can be digested easily in a shorter eBook. I think I'd rather see more depth in a smaller range of focus, but that's me.

@Ben ... yes, considering as two seperate topics ...

1) Introduction to Domino Designer 8.5 (for people new to Domino)

2) Introduction to XPages (an XPages primer for existing Notes/Dom developers)

Basically this is the Domino Fundamentals course.
I can tell you that new users need to go for XPage or Notes dev and not try to learn both. Xpage dev is web development and it has a different design philosophy. This should cover only what is needed to create views, forms and agents.
