I want to be able to right click on an attachment in an email message, select Copy, and then paste the attachment into a new message. Even in 8.5 I often get other pieces of the original email together with the attachment. The only way to reliably do it is to put the original email in Edit mode. It should work better than that. How many end users know that you can Edit an email message that you received?!

I agree - I'm really bored with it - in read mode I can copy only a whole document, not an object that I've right clicked..

Just a quick note: drag-and-drop works in read mode.

[N8.5.1] Right-click on an attachment, select copy, then go to a table and paste. It pastes the entire document. Worse, if the original document contains a layout region, you get an error about attempting to paste a layout region into a table.
With ND8.5.1, this basic capability needs to be brought into the 21st century.
Work-around:
Yes, if you are savvy, you might deduce that you can highlight the attachment in read or edit mode. Then when you select copy, you will get the desired result upon a paste operation. Counterintuitive, but it works.
