Not an entire Db template.  Just a list of common sample forms to choose from to get you started.  The list could also include other previously created forms on that server.  I was working with Adobe Live Cycle for the first time and when you select a new form to create it gives you a nice list of forms to choose from.  I compared that to what I get when I create a new Notes form which is an empty page.  As a work around for years I would search DB's for a similar form and copy and paste it where I needed it and then began editing it.  The samples could include best practices and incorporate sample fields as well.
thank you

Hi Carl,

Agree, 100%! Therefore, and voted!

P.S. I see that many have already voted against the ideas of pure Lotus... on how much they have a great desire that the IBM has improve only XPages ))

Hi Vlad,

I can see the trend to xpages and I am an old Notes developer. I need to catch up!

It would be nice if these sample forms worked for all different enviroments: Notes, Web, Touch and Mobile!!

I'm too old Notes developer and I need to catch up! ))

The main thing - do not lose the support of the old and the working of the functional, while they implement new.
And will it work everywhere? This is a question...
