Since Notes 8, when a user receives an invitation to a meeting, it appears in grey until confirmed or rejected by the user. Excellent idea. This same functionality could be applied to mails which are a recipient of an e-mail proposes a new time.

Currently when a user suggests a new time, the entry does not appear in their calander (neither with the old time or with the newly proposed time). It would be useful if it did so as it would avoid others booking that time during the period prior to confirmation.

To me the logic they have now indicates that since you proposed a new time, that you do not want the existing time. Thus, remove it until settled. I can see the benefit you describe though.

Was thinking that the meeting you are attempting to reschedule would appear just for you in the suggested new time. main thinking is often I get invited to a meeting and I suggest a new date/time. By the time the chairman circulates this around, either someone else has taken the slot that I had suggested or I do myself, having forgotten that the slot was suggested by me for the rescheduled meeting.

That kicks off an embarassing retraction of the suggested time after the chairman has notified everyone else. :-(
