While I'm on a "New Mail" meme - please allow me to determine/select which folders in my mail file watched for new mail. (see screenshot)
Many folks have a number of rules that process incoming email. I think we should be able to select which folders cause a 'you have a new mail' event.

Just had this conversation in Dec with a user. It's annoying for the weekly report folder inputs to prompt a new mail received dialog box when the user cares less what is in that folder till Friday afternoon.

Agreed. This "lack of" feature comes up repeatedly for me/us as well.
3) Brent Quick48 (06 Jan 2010)
Agree - I hate to be notified that my SPAM filter has worked.
