There should also be a means to add them to the mail template without requiring Domino Designer.

I think Apple's mail templates in Leopard are model to show that e-mail does not have to boring. The world evolved from Courier 10 to where we are now; time to take another creative step forward.

I think that there is a need for more or easier methods of creating letterhead.

This should be a basic Eclipse extension point where anyone can contribute new letterheads.

There should be some way of clicking a menu option - eg: find new letterheads on the web which would allow you to browse download and install them simply. Such a feature would also help with user acceptance of Notes.

Letterhead repository?

As an SMB implementor, this is one of the very nice things I do when I set up clients. Customize the Letterheads with corporate (and sports team) icons. Since they don't leave the building (i.e., go out via SMTP), it's nice to be able to have a little personality.

I'd really like them to display in iNotes/DWA, too!

If nothing else, retaining the old ones would be a start. When I replaced my mail design from inotes6 to mailR8, the database retained my "Lotus Notes Postmark" letter head however the template is gone. So if I change it to something else, I do not have the option to change it back.

Although I do like the idea of being able to have a library of letterheads or maybe even a right-click option from an image to "Make Picture Letterhead Graphic" similar to the Windows "Save as Wallpaper" option.
