This would greatly improve my daily life if I could finally totally abandon Windows for OS X.

1) David Vasta2328 (14 Nov 2007)
I would agree. I would also say to Abandon the Windows Platform all together! It's not worth it and after the no show on Vista and the inability to really do 64Bit with any speed. I would also like to see Domino run on MacOSX Server.

I have asked and asked for this time and time again from Ed, until he answered my question but I would agree that there should be more Linux and MacOSX push.
2) Matt White9280 (14 Nov 2007)
Couldn't agree more. It's only Domino Designer that keeps me running Windows at all. I use a MBP all day every day but have to fire up VMWare most of the time to do my Domino development. The day that I can dump Windows altogether I will buy the entire Domino Designer development team a round ;-)
3) Richard Schwartz3723 (15 Nov 2007)
Not until Domino Designer is running in Eclipse.
4) Perry Proper46 (15 Nov 2007)
I kind-of agree Richard…

Eclipse, at least what I have been able to discern so far, is a trogan horse… lipstick on a pig… WTF do I care if notes can execute along with a butt-load of baggage? IBM needs to get their heads out of their asses and deliver real shit.
5) John Head1027 (15 Nov 2007)
@4 Perry - Eclipse is the future, no matter what we think. Better to support that direction (and help IBM focus on making it better) than fighting it.
6) Perry Proper46 (16 Nov 2007)
Eclipse is fine, if it provides some advantage. What is the advantage?
7) Matt Bidwell484 (23 Sep 2009)
I hope they fix Eclipse, if they are going to really stick with it. RIght now I cannot even open a few databases of mine with it. Scary stuff. But, maybe it will go the way of db2nsf.

how long we'll have to wait to have full compatibility with OSX, we want Lotus Client, Designer and Admin as well. Stop windows please ...
