backup domino as/400 system i power i
Using the native backup tools that ship, you can't backup Domino when running on AS/400, er, System i, er POWER i, er IBM i for POWER systems.
Since IBM lock-stock & barrel owns & codes Domino & the IBM i, this should be possible.

Craig: are you referring to BRMS? Also, most AS/400 admins I know take the server down on Saturday or Sunday and perform a full backup of the entire server. For this idea, are you talking about daily incrementals, too?

@1 One of the additional software options I'm referring to is BRMS (there are others that backup Domino while it's active as well).
Seems to me that you can do a full active backup of EVERYTHING on the '400 (DB2, etc) with the native tools, except Domino.
Since IBM controls all the pieces of this puzzle, they should be able to cover that hole in the native backup tools.
